Comprehensive exam by Dr. Bonin

A careful, unhurried examination of your teeth, gums, bite, and existing dental work. This is the part where Dr. Bonin learns your mouth in detail.
Digital X-rays

Low-radiation digital imaging captures what we cannot see between teeth and below the gumline. Images are reviewed with you on a screen during the visit.
Oral cancer screening

A visual and tactile screening of the lips, tongue, floor of mouth, throat, and surrounding soft tissue. Early detection saves lives.
Gum health evaluation

Periodontal probing and assessment of gum tissue, bone support, and any signs of gingivitis or periodontal disease. We tell you exactly where you stand.
Personalized treatment consultation

Dr. Bonin walks through every finding, prioritizes what matters, and builds a plan around your goals, timing, and budget. You leave with the plan in writing.
Office tour

A short tour of our Windsor office so you know exactly where you will be sitting, who is on the team, and what your future visits will feel like.

Who is the New Patient Experience for?

Anyone joining Bonin Dental Care as a new patient. It is designed for adults who want a thorough first visit with Dr. Bonin, an honest understanding of their oral health, and a personalized plan. Existing patients do not need this visit; their regular hygiene and exam appointments cover the same ground.

What is included for $289?

Your $289 covers a comprehensive exam by Dr. Bonin, digital X-rays as needed, an oral cancer screening, a gum health evaluation, a personalized treatment consultation, a tour of our Windsor office, and time with Dr. Bonin to learn about the overall health of your teeth. The fee covers the visit; if you choose to proceed with treatment, those costs are separate and provided in writing before anything is scheduled.

Is a cleaning included?

A standard prophylactic cleaning is not included in the $289 New Patient Experience because the exam first determines what type of cleaning you actually need. Many new patients are ready for a routine cleaning, which is scheduled separately. Patients with gum disease often need a more involved deep cleaning, which is also scheduled separately and reviewed with you before booking.

Do you accept insurance for this visit?

The $289 New Patient Experience is offered as a flat, transparent fee so you know exactly what you are paying. You may submit the visit to your dental insurance as a courtesy and use any reimbursement you receive at your discretion. If you would prefer a standard insurance-based first visit instead of the package, call us and we will set that up.

How long does the visit take?

Plan for 60 to 90 minutes. Dr. Bonin does not rush new-patient visits. This is when we get to know each other, walk through your history, and build a plan you understand and trust.

What if I need treatment?

Dr. Bonin will review every finding with you and propose a personalized treatment plan. You leave with a clear, itemized plan in writing. Nothing is scheduled or charged without your approval, and many patients take the plan home to think it over.

What if I have dental anxiety?

We routinely welcome anxious patients. Dr. Bonin takes the time to know you and educates every step. If sedation is appropriate, we discuss oral conscious sedation and nitrous oxide (laughing gas) so you can decide what feels right.
