Your first visit is a thorough consultation and smile analysis. Dr. Bonin asks what you like and dislike about your smile, takes photographs, and examines your teeth from every angle. He talks about tooth color, shape, alignment, and how your bite functions. If necessary, he might take X-rays or digital scans. By the end of this visit, you'll have a clear sense of what's possible and what the plan looks like. Cosmetic consultations often include mockups or digital previews so you're not imagining the result in your head alone.

Once you're committed to a plan, the actual treatment starts. This might be a whitening session, or bonding, or the first step of Invisalign. Each procedure varies, but cosmetic work is usually not painful because we're addressing the visible surface of the tooth rather than the nerve. You'll feel pressure and vibration, hear the drill, but typically not significant discomfort. We use local anesthesia when needed, and sedation is available if you prefer.

After each procedure, you'll get specific aftercare instructions. Some patients have minor sensitivity or temporary staining. Others notice the change immediately and love it. Plan to avoid staining foods or drinks for the first 24-48 hours after whitening. For veneers or bonding, avoid very hard foods for a few days. Retainers with Invisalign are permanent, worn nightly. We'll schedule follow-ups to make sure everything is settling beautifully.
